Kwon’s Champion School has been awarded “Best Martial Arts School” by the U.S. Taekwondo and Martial Arts Grandmaster Federation, “Best Summer Camp” and “Best Gym” by Prince William County Times, and “Best Children’s Entertainment” and “Best Camp and Summer Program” by Lifestyle Magazine. We are the only school in the area that teaches a combination martial art that incorporates the best techniques from Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kung Fu, Judo, Hap Ki Do, Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, and weapons training. We strive to make champions in life and focus to make a positive impact in the community.
Grandmaster Kwon was born in South Korea and at the age of five he started his training in martial arts. From a young age, Grandmaster Kwon devoted his life to martial arts training and began to realize the extraordinary human power that his Grandmaster had once talked about. It further ignited his passion, which led him to master many styles of martial arts.

Ever since he started training at the young age of five, Master Kwon knew he wanted to follow the footsteps of his father to become a great martial arts master. It was clear that martial arts was his passion and it led him to win the Full Contact World Champion title in 1998. He is passionate about teaching and developing the next generation of leaders in martial arts.
Learn MoreGrandmaster Kwon’s youngest son, Master Eric Kwon, graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in pursuits to become a physician. Although he was accepted into many medical schools after graduating, he decided to take a year off from studying when an opportunity to work in one of his father’s locations opened. It was then he realized his passion and love in teaching martial arts. Master Kwon is currently a 7th degree black belt and the owner of the Gainesville location.
